1/6/2002: Several Records Ratified at USATF Annual Convention

Several Ultra records were ratified at USATF annual convention in early December.  These performances were run on certified courses and met all of the criteria established by the USATF for recognition.

In an unfortunate series of events, one of the most spectacular performances in 2001 was not ratified because the course was found to be approximately 400 meters short. We still wish to recognize Dave Dunham (37, MA) for his 2:57:37 performance of just under 50 km.

See the records and statistics page for current USA records and an outline of requirements for ratification.

Many of these performances were run prior to 2001, but were ratified in December. If you think that you have surpassed these records and have not contacted the RRIC or the AUA, please contact the AUA Statistician.  We are still working with several race directors to obtain documentation for past performances.
